Tutorial crochet necklace and bracelet with copperI've enjoyed browsing through sites like Etsy and seeing some of the amazing things that can be done with age old arts. Since I both crochet and do wire working, I wanted to combine the both and give a fair shake at something that is entirely new to me. I thought a ring would be the perfect pet project because it is small, and I wouldnt waste too much wire.To start, I crochetted a chain of 16, using a 2mm crochet hook and 24

You can never have too many purses or too much jewelry in my opinion and if you know how to crochet you can have both with just a minimum investment. For this project all you need are two different colored crochet thread (great for leftovers from other projects), a hook, necklace clasp and needle to be in business. This necklace is based on a two-color center pendant with "beads" that decrease in size. The "beads" in this case are two circles of the same size sewn together and then threaded on to more thread.Easy and fun to make,

Tie a starter knot along with the two colored threads you are using, leaving at least 3 inches of slack, Tape down the slack to a flat surface or safety pin it something that will help keep it in place (feeling

We were instantly inspired by this gorgeous rainbow fishtail braid in Free People‘s September catalogand decided to recreate it, adding our own little twist: making the braid into a wearable hat accessory. Who said braids were limited to summer and hair? All you need is a pair of scissors, some multi-colored yarn and a hat.Cut about 40 strands of yarn about 3 feet long, knot at one end leaving a several inches of slack, and divide into two sections. Pull 4 strands of yard from the outside of the left section and add it to the right side.

Start by cutting a 10″ and a 15″ piece of bungee (or climbing rope). Burn the ends with a lighter to prevent fraying. Then, wrap the middle sections with either twine or mason line using the friendship knot technique and use the hot glue gun to secure the ends to your bungee cord. (Click images to enlarge)Lay the center of the twisted cord in between the two pieces of covered bungee, twist twice at the top of the necklace and bring both sides down to create a small loop.
