Instructions

Making the petals for the rose:
Have your wrapper and smoothen the wrinkles. Fold the wrapper lengthwise in half.

Fold one corner to the opposite side.

Fold the other corner of the same end on top of the already folded part.

Repeat steps 3 and 4 in the other end of the wrapper.

Fold the whole thing from the middle so that the tips of the triangles don’t overlap. You have now your first petal.

To make the petals easier to glue, bend the petal around your finger and push the bottom flat against the table.
Draw a circle the size you want your rose to be on a piece of cardboard.

Start “growing” your rose: glue the petals side to side around the circle. Work inwards from the circle when adding more petals.

Cut a strip of cardboard and glue it around the bottom of the rose. This makes the rose more stiff and holds the outer petals in order.
Cut the rose from the cardboard around the bottom.

Poke the rose around with a stick to make sure the glue holds the petals in place. Add glue if needed. Press the bottom inwards and curl the petal tips out for a more realistic look. Add lace for decoration to cover the cardboard.
